How did it all begin?
        It all started when TVB producer, Amy Wong decided to cast Kevin Cheng and Niki Chow in a series together. She must have seen some potential in these two. They were paired up in the series “Hard Fate.” It was from then on that they will be forever remembered as one of TVB’s cutest couples ever, adding their names to the TVB Onscreen Couple Hall of Fame alongside classic couples such as Raymond and Michelle, Louis and Jessica, and Julian and Charmaine.

 Why we love them?
        Why do we adore them so much? TVB has many pairings and they’ve each been paired up with other actors/actresses, so what makes them so special? What do these two possess that make them so irresistible? Quite simple really, these two have tons of chemistry. Every time they are onscreen together, the screen lights up. The emotions and affections that they display for one another in their roles makes them so compatible. They are so convincing and natural in their roles that sometimes we forget that they are only acting and are not really a couple in real life. In addition, their looks don’t hurt either. He’s handsome, and she’s beautiful. What do you get when you bring together two good-looking people with amazing chemistry?  It’s rare to see two actors have such amazing chemistry, but Kevin and Niki are such a pair.

The Present
    They have completed their third series together, "The Seventh Day."  There are no new collaborations at this moment.  TSD has also just finished airing.  Regarding the latest development of their relationship, reporters haven't been able to get any new information.   Seems like KN have been very careful ever since the last time Kevin was caught visiting Niki's home during the midnight hours.

 Reality
        Friends or lovers?  This question is debatable.  In the past, they have repeatedly denied that they are dating.  However, recent developments seem to point to the direction that they are.  The best example would be Kevin's "semi-admission" on "Be My Guest" that he has feelings for Niki and he would not deny the possibility of them dating.  Niki was also interviewed in February by Mingpao Weekly.  They asked if she and Kevin could develop into something more.  Niki said that she would just let everything happen naturally.  Compared to the past where she would say "Impossible," this change in her response is enough to indicate that her feelings have changed.

 Kevin was also spotted at Niki's apartment complex in the early morning hours (Feb 2007).  It became the cover story for "East Weekly."  Reporters have questioned both of them about it, but they both just smiled and said "no comment."  They both also said that they'll let us know when they get married.  Sound suspicious?  In March 2007, at a promotional event for Kevin's new movie, while playing an "Is That Right" type of game, Kevin accidentally admitted that they are together.  How?  The host asked, "Is Kevin Niki's boyfriend?" and without hesitation, Kevin made a hand signal to signify yes.  He soon realized his mistake and said, "What?  What kind of question is this?  I give up and will not answer."   

Even though they have not officially announced that they are dating, many people, fans and media alike, have already accepted that they are already an item.  If it's true, I want to wish them the best.  They would be really adorable if they were actually dating. Will they ever become an official couple? Who knows? Even if they never date in real life, we’ll at least be able to watch the shows in which they are paired in to our hearts content. Hopefully, they will be starring opposite of each other for many years to come so we can all catch a glimpse of them together because we simply can’t get enough of them.
